Did I mention how wonderful the nursing staff is here? I have a hard time giving Logan a bath in the hospital. At over 27 pounds, it's hard enough at home, but in the bed without all of the tools I'm used to it's even harder. We asked our sweet nurse, Becky, if they would mind helping me give him one today. Her eyes lit up and she mentioned how Sarah, one of the nurse's aides, would be glad to do it.
Next thing we know, Sarah comes in like a breath of fresh air and tells us that she will take care of everything for us to go and take a break. We had to ask her what exactly she meant...surely it wasn't for us to both leave? Sure enough she was thrilled to give Logan a bath and sent us away to have lunch.
Our sweet nurse Jenny mentioned the organic cafe that was downstairs in the main hospital so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness for meal tickets because it's not cheap, but what a nice break from the cafeteria! We ate our lunch together at a table, like a real meal! If you are ever here during mealtime it's worth checking out.
When we arrived back upstairs our angel was sleeping peacefully! She said he did great during his bath, she replaced his bed linens, cleaned the tray table in our room, folded all of our blankets and covered the couch neatly with sheets. She mentioned that the respiratory team had been in and done his treatment and he dozed off quickly after that.

And he's done it again. Thank you God for blessing us with your peace.

It's so great of you to keep everyone posted on how you all are doing. I loved the nurses in the NICU - there's just something special about people who give of themselves in that way. And I think nurses of kids/babies are especially angelic! I'm so glad you have sweet people taking good care of all of you!
