Update

Just a quick update on our little munchkin. The fever stuck around overnight, but our doctor today is not suspecting meningitis at all. The smiles have her thinking he's feeling better than he would be if that were the diagnosis. Initially she questioned whooping cough, since he has not had his vaccines. But after a conversation with the Infectious Disease doctor, they are going to test the "junk" in his lungs for a specific type of pneumonia. She was pretty surprised at that, but because of the suppressed immune system, they can't rule it out.

So, today we will continue with the breathing treatments, chest PT, continue the current antibiotic, add another anitbiotic, give him a stress dose of steroids while he is battling all of this, stick something down his throat to test the junk in his lungs, keep any eye on his temp, monitor the small red rash on his arms and upper torso, try and heal his raw rear end (we now have Greer's Goo!), treat the thrush in his mouth that has returned, hopefully no IV fluids if we can get him to take more fluid, continue on all of his current meds (Keppra, Vitamin B6, Klonopin, Topamax & Zantac) and get a much needed bath. A much need bath for Logan - I can't promise anything for us.

Thanks for your prayers and general concern. It and God's love is what keeps us going!

Stay tuned!
